KEYNOTE SPEAKER I

Prof. Jinliang He

Speech Title: Smart Sensors Make the Power Grid Intelligent

Biodata: ecycling HVDC cable and environment-friendly gas-insulated power transmission lines based on the theory and method of coordinated regulation for multi-properties of nanodielectric materials.
His research achievements have been awarded a 2nd Prize of national award for technological invention, and 15 provincial awards of progress in science and technology. For his outstanding contributions to the lightning protection and grounding technologies for power transmission system, he was selected as an IEEE Fellow in 2007, the Technical Achievement Award by the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society in 2010, and the Hoshino prize (6th session) by the institute of electrical installation engineers of Japan in 2013.
He has published 5 academic monographs, and 2 textbooks. He also has co-authored more than 400 academic papers, among which around 200 papers have been published on international academic journals and transactions. He is the principal drafter of 5 national standards and the convenor of one CIGRE technical brochure, and the co-drafter of 4 IEC international standards. To date, he successfully trained 30 Ph. D. as their advisor or second-advisor, and 24 masters of engineering and 22 project masters as their tutor. Currently, 10 PhD candidates and 2 master students are doing investigations under his supervision.
Presently, Prof. Jinliang He is the director of High-voltage and Insulation Technology, Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University. Prof. Fushuan Wen

Biodata: Fushuan Wen received the B.E. and M.E. degrees from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1991, all in electrical engineering. He joined the faculty of Zhejiang University in 1991, and has been a full professor and the director of the Institute of Power Economics and Information since 1997, and the director of Zhejiang University-Insigma Joint Research Center for Smart Grids since 2010.
He has been undertaking various teaching, research and visiting appointments in National University of Singapore (NSTB Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Fellow), Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Research Fellow, Visiting Assistant Professor), University of Hong Kong (Research Assistant Professor), South China University of Technology (University Distinguished Professor), University of New South Wales in Australia (ARC Project Senior Fellow, Senior Visiting Fellow), Queensland University of Technology in Australia (CSIRO and ARC Project Visiting Fellow), Brunei University of Technology (Professor in Power Systems), Technical University of Denmark (Otto Monsted Guest Professor in Power Systems), Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (Visiting Fellow), Murdoch University in Australia (Adjunct Professor), Hangzhou Dianzi University in China (Yusheng XUE Education Foundation Distinguished Professor), Tallinn University of Technology (Professor in Energy Systems), Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) in Australia (Honorary Visiting Scientist), Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society (Visiting Principal Research Fellow).
His research interests include: 1) power economics and electricity markets; 2) power system investment, planning and operation optimization; 3) smart grids and electric vehicles; 4) power system alarm processing, fault diagnosis and system restoration; 5) artificial intelligence applications in power and integrated energy systems. He has published 200+ SCI-indexed papers, 610+ EI-indexed papers, and 710+ Scopus-indexed papers. His publications have been cited for 15400+ times. He has completed and is undertaking more than 170 grants and projects from governmental organizations and industry.
Prof. Wen received many awards both at the national level and provincial level, including the most prestigious National Natural Science Award of China. He has been listed in "Most Cited Chinese Researchers" in six consecutive years since 2015 by Elsevier, and is the author of one of the China's 100 Most Influential Domestic Academic Papers in 2016.
Prof. Wen is the editor-in-chief of Energy Conversion and Economics (IET, Wiley), the deputy editor-in-chief of Journal of Automation of Electric Power Systems, an editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Systems and IEEE Power Engineering Letters, a subject editor in power system economics of IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, associate editor of Journal of Energy Engineering and Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy. He is also on the editorial boards of more than 10 journals. 
Prof. Wen was the General Chairman of 2020 International Conference on Smart Grids and Energy Systems (SGES 2020), Nov. 23-26, 2020, Perth, Australia. Prof Wen was elected to IEEE Fellow for contributions to fault diagnosis in power grids in November, 2020. (Getting more)

Prof. Jizhong Zhu
IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, CSEE Fellow

Biodata: Prof. Jizhong Zhu received the B.S. degree, M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Chongqing University in 1985, 1987, and Feb. 1990, respectively. Dr. Zhu was a professor in Chongqing University. He won seven provincial and ministerial awards for scientific and technological progress, and was selected as one of four outstanding young scientists working in China by The Royal Society of UK and China Science & Technology Association and awarded Royal Society Fellowship in 1994, as well as the national research prize "Fok Ying-Tung Excellent Young Teacher Medal" in 1996. He worked in a variety of places all over the world, including Chongqing University in China, Brunel University in UK, National University of Singapore, Howard University in USA, and ALSTOM Grid Inc., China Southern Power Grid and South China University of Technology (SCUT). 
He is currently a Professor and director of ISESOOC center in SCUT and National Distinguished Expert in China. He is Chair of IEEE P2781 and P2783 Standard working groups since 2018, core member of IEEE PES SBLC Technical Committee, member of IEEE SMC Technical Committee on intelligent power and energy systems, and member of IEEE SMC Standard Committee, as well as was Chair of IEEE PES SBLC Loads Subcommittee during 2017-2019. He worked at ALSTOM Grid as a Senior Principal Power Systems Engineer and Senior Expert during 2000-2015, and became a Fellow of Alstom Expert Committee in 2013.
His research interest is integrated smart energy system optimal operation and control (ISESOOC), as well as smart grid and renewable energy applications. He has published six books as a sole author, and published over 200 papers in the international journals and conferences.
