2024 3rd World Symposium on Electrical Systems (WSES 2024)

• The 3rd World Symposium on Electrical Systems was held in Chengdu, Sichuan China during March 28-31 successfully. It's co-sponsored by University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Southwest University of Science and Technology (SWUST), Chengdu University of Technology, organized by School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, UESTC. More than 100 participants from over ten countries attended the online conference, where discussions were held on ten different research areas related to electricity.

第三届电力系统世界研讨会于2023年3月28日至31日在中国四川成都成功举办。此次会议由电子科技大学、西南科技大学和成都理工大学联合主办，电子科技大学机械与电气工程学院承办。来自十多个国家的100多名参与者参加了此次线上会议，围绕与电力相关的十个不同研究领域进行了讨论。

Opening and Speeches
The conference was opened by the conference chair, Professor Weihao Hu from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, with Professor Xu Xiao from Sichuan University serving as the host. The conference specially invited IEEE Fellow Professor Claudio Adrián Cañizares from the University of Waterloo, a top 2% global scientist, Vice Chair of the IEEE PES Distributed Resources and Distribution Network Planning Technical Committee, Professor Xiao Jun from Tianjin University, an IEEE Life Fellow, Professor Jih-Sheng (Jason) Lai from Virginia Tech, an IEEE Fellow and PES Vice Chair, who each delivered outstanding keynote presentations on topics such as artificial intelligence in power grids and renewable energy. Professor Wu Tao from Chongqing University, Professor Wu Shaopeng from Harbin Institute of Technology, Associate Researcher Wang Yu from Fudan University, Associate Professor Che Yulong from Lanzhou Jiaotong University, and Associate Professor Zhang Dongdong from Guangxi University were also invited to speak at the conference.

We express our sincere appreciation to all the individuals who have contributed to WSES 2020 in various ways. Special thanks are extended to our colleagues in the program committee for their thorough review of all the submissions, which is vital to the success of the conference, and also to the members in the organizing committee and the volunteers who had delicate their time and efforts in planning, promoting, organizing and helping the conference.
